1999 Ranger, 3.0, 2WD, 4R44E trans.
I'm replacing the engine because it was seized.. so we had to remove the old engine with the torque converter still attached to it.
In the process, it looks like the output shaft [?] pulled out of the trans a little.
We tried several times to put the Torque Converter back on, but it just won't go all the way in.
Is there a trick to get that shaft to go back in?
Can it even be done without dropping thhe trans, or pulling the bell housing?
