I recently changed out an A4LD to a M5OD & now would like to know what to do about the linkage to the transfer case. Any solutions?

Junk yard.

I have heard from a reliable source that there are at least 11 different linkage combos between 1983 and 1991.

I think he is talking about the lever and pawl. I have heard mixed reports about the interchangeability of the two in question.

Yep. Some are different. On a friend a4ld to fm146( which would be basically the same) we have still not connected it because of this issue. Prob will just come up with something custom.
