Hello Collank, welcome to TRS :)
I'm not a real guru so you'll want to wait for one to get serious, I just drive one. I've never used the manual lock-in's either, I'm fine just pushing the 4X button.
Seems it might have low compression, but then I don't know much about the 3.0s either :D

Thanks Josh, I've wondered that myself. I've also wondered if the transmission is getting so hot the fluid is getting too thin causing loss of pressure. I'm no guru, changed a few engines and a few timing jobs on 5.4 tritons but never transmission work myself and this is my first "ranger" so I'm still learning the truck.
