i have an 88 ranger. my clutch went out and had to cut the bolts the mount the rear cross member, that holds up the rear of the trany, to the frame. is there somewhere i can get a new cross bar since the bolts are rusted to the inside of it?

Check out a junkyard and look for a mid 80's ranger with the crossmember that mounts INSIDE THE FRAME. You can't miss it. It has one hump in it designed so that you can remove your exhaust without having to touch the crossmember at all. Plus, you can unbolt the transmission mounts, and the crossmember from the frame and not have to worry about it falling down on you.

It's a much simpler design that won't rust to hell like the "gull wing" p.o.s. does.
