Hey guys,

This post isn't technically "urgent", but I am trying to order in some parts tonight, and I bet one of you could answer my question in a couple seconds.

I have a feeling that my valve body gasket is bad. I've been experiencing some slipping and hard shifting. I've also noticed that it doesn't seem as bad when the engine is cold (Likely because the Trans fluid is slightly more viscous at this state).

I'm trying to order in a new set of valve body gaskets, but I'm having difficulty finding them for my 2003 ranger with the 3.0L flex engine (I'm assuming it's the 5R44E trans). Looks to me like they've discontinued the part altogether. So, my question is, are these gaskets interchangeable with those from the 5R55E (still widely available), or am I going to have to look harder. Also, if the latter is the case, can anyone suggest an online store that might have the part? I haven't been able to find a good one yet.

Thanks!
Aaron

Haha that's good to know!

I think I saw this, but wasn't sure if it was legit, or if they were just throwing every model number in the add to get more folks to look at it. Anyhow, thanks for the help!
