That's how an old neighbor greeted me in a recent email. That's why I'm here. I'll be picking up a 94 B4000 4x4 extra cab on Wednesday. Right now it's been sitting in a back yard for 3 years under a fir tree. I'm in the Portland OR area, so if it sits, it turns green and gets moldy. "It ran when parked", is all I know about it at this time. So, I'm happy to be here, and I'll be asking questions as soon as I get it home.

Check for locked up wheels I read on your other post that you're going to tow it, front calipers tend to clamp tight and not let go, when it's a bad brake hose they're fine until you start rolling then a little bit of heat from the caliper seems to be enough to make the fluid expand and lock up the wheel I've been through this with two trucks now I hope you don't have any problems with the brakes good luck! you're about to find out cost of a free of vehicle [emoji16]


rear brakes seem to rust in place if the emergency brake was on.

Thanks for the heads up. I have to tow it about 15 miles, and I'll stick to surface streets. the E brake was left off, so I have that going for me.

Hey man, if you need help with brakes, let me know. I got a free Ranger as well and had to do work on the brakes to get it back on the road. Learned a lot.
