So I have the washers to lift it but now... A little scared of taking coil off. Have heard horrible things! I have a 91. Sway bar disconected, lower shock disconected, jack up by frame, 1 1/8 socket for nut. before or after jacking it up? steps from start to finish anybody?

The coil is not going to pop out at you....not quite like a strut assembly. Use jackstands on the frame and your jack on the bottom of the axle beam. Jack the beam up to take some load off of the spring until your extention will fit down to the nut from the top, or your ratchet will fit in between the coils, either will work. Loosen the nut, and let the axle beam lower all the way...the coil will now come off the seat and just turn the coil out of the upper bucket.
