I decided to spend a couple days here at RangerSVT's so I don't have to drive 70 miles round trip from my house. That way I have more money for B2 goodies instead of mortgaging my extremities to gasoline!
Only problem is we spent last night ordering stuff off ebay. Tried to pay last night no luck. SVT says it's SR sucking up all the hughes net bandwidth.
So this morning I'm up, SR takes off to go build some fire trucks, I jump on the internet (I got one of those little netbook things :icon_thumby:)! I'm smoking right along, things cooking! Then all of a sudden screeching halt, someone hooked a chain on and is draggin me backwards! :dunno:
I hear SVT in the other room talking, must have got on the phone & computer. I sneak my butt over to the wireless modem and get a better signal, but it's still creeping!
Yeah right, it ain't SR sucking up bandwidth, it's SVT's archaic dinosour, rub 10 sticks together, 1959 NASA first generation, I run off 460 megajewls flux capacitor computer that takes up half his bedroom! :icon_rofl: :icon_rofl:
Guys' younger than I am but his computer, if you can call it that, is older than stinking Moses & the burning bush! :annoyed: And even though it caves in windows & adds to the global warming theory, it stills runs slower than Railman's newborn grand daughter could even think about crawling! :icon_rofl: :icon_rofl:
I'll post a pic of the pterodactyl later!

Well, got some work done today, though not near as much as I wanted to. :icon_thumby: & :icon_confused:
Front driveshaft removed, motor mount nuts off, power steering lines loose, Transmission crossmember bolts, transmission mount bolts, and some leaf spring bolts. :yahoo: So, motor, tranny & tcase is ready to go! Going to put it up for sale! Recoup a nickel or 2.
Then it happened, the damn HB Freight breaker bar socket tip broke sending me into a rear tire. :annoyed: Yeah, Yeah I know better, for extreme use tools, don't go cheap!! So that put my back out of whack and I was walking like a 90 yom the rest of the day instead of 40yom w/a new hip! :bawling:
I then went in the shop, sat my whambulance needing butt on a tool box and got after a dodge DANA44 that was holding an E Locker Hostage! :headbang:

About an hr of grinding the axle u joint peter pan off and we rescued it! :icon_thumby:

Looks in good condition other than the diff full of greasy mudd that it was swimming in!

Got it into the solvent tank & the ring gear off. It's sitting there to free any stubborn stuff! :yahoo:

So it was a productive day, just not as far as I wanted.
Oh & here's a pic of SVT's Pterodactyl

He's in the latrine giving birth to a chevy so I was able to get this wrote up & pic whored! :icon_rofl:
Tomorrow's another day.
SVT's Mom gave me a muscle relaxer, hopefully that'll work on my back for tonight. SR offered me some Ranger Candy (what we call 800 MG ibuprofen in the army). :icon_rofl: I told him after 20 yrs of eating them, they're worthless. They're actually like tic tacs.

There's nothing wrong with cheap tools with a lifetime warrenty. Autozone hates my return trips with their Great Neck/Duralast rachets and sockets.

So whats the eta on this thing anyway. I wanna see another B2 on the trail.

Got a little work done today! :yahoo:
Motor, transmission & Tcase pulled!

We then went to work on assembling the EB44.

Installed the axle seals

Drilled for E Locker wiring

Drilled & tapped the welding bench to make sure we had the right threads for the axle to install the wiring fitting! Better safe than sorry!

Installed the fitting in the welding bench! It's right we can tap the axle!

Wiring fitting installed

E Locker with Ring 5.13 ring gear.

After several times setting backlash we got it to 8 thousandths. Compliance is 5-15. So about the middle!

All installed and wiring in! I'm going to pull the plug back off on tuesday to put some heat shrink on and some wire loom to protect it! Who knows what it's going to be subject to!
Got company coming over the weekend. So nothing more until tuesday. We had planned an impromptu trip to Turkey bay for saturday but found out they shut it down due to excessive rain & water!
With having my back giving me fits yesterday, I'm happy with progress. Wanted to get more done, but it's good. Steady, good progress I can live with!

Tires are on page one! 6 37x12.50x15 IROKs! Been laying around for about 6 months or so!

Body plans are some massive fender well cutting & herculine the exterior. Also looking at removing core support. I know I'm going against the grain here, but not a fan of electric fans. I plan to run a spacer & flex fan with a shroud. So planning to build a square tube core support pushed out some also to make room for a 4 core radiator! Keep this puppy cool!
