Weird Anomaly last friday coming home

What you describe sounds like what happens when the valve (that looks like a fuel filter canister) near the tank goes bad, it acts like a fuel reservoir in case your fuel pump sucks air on an almost empty tank, as far as I can tell.

As someone noted, if you tank is over 1/4 full, it is not a problem. When I installed a 2.8L into a 1976 Alfa Romeo, I had to do a bunch of things to get the fuel system correct including installing an electric fuel pump to prime the mechanical pump and to install a Spider-Trax roll over valve on the return/vapor line. I had thought about reservoirs and such, but, not really needed because the tank pickup sat recessed.

What ULTIMATELY fixed it WHO KNOWS.. gotta friend who owns a Menieke shop, had it TOWED there ( died for good in town) they changed ALL ignition parts sans computer lol, OEM plugs, wires, distributor, cleaned injectors ( HUGE improvement) After ALL this it STIL had a MISS, hobbled home, n ordered (2) TFI modules, and a McCully Racing TFI RELOCATION Kit , n PROBLEM solved.. The BLACK module from Advance was bad,,,,, Runs like NEW at moment :) Thx 2 everyone for chiming in! :)
