This reminds me that once I thought of omitting the washer feature for the windshield. I could install a new washer fluid tank w/pump & hose then run the hose through the FW to the interior. Then I'd add my favorite booze to the tank for a quick squirt/gulp whenever necessary !
It’s been done before, lol

My credo
Its probably better to be self deprecating than self defecating.

He hasn't responded so I think he wanted to start a guessing game.

Crown Vic Steering Wheel

I've been wanting to do this to my Ranger for a while now but still can't find a wheel (Blue but black will do).
No luck w/the Lincoln - Mercury either (Then I'd need a Ford horn button).
The ones I did find ('8x - '89) were in to bad of shape &/or the horn button was missing. I found the diameter is ok
& I think the dish depth will work as well. Comparing the backsides looks like it will work too.
It doesn't need to have the leather but it does need the cruise buttons.
Anyone know where I can Get 1 ?

I’d be careful about altering the branding on a vehicle. The police might think it’s stolen.

Naaa, scratch that

But what a cool idea! I’ve been hunting around for an appropriate Lincoln logo for the Missing Linc, but I never imagined that a whole steering wheel might move over and fit. Coincidentally, I have a trip planned to the pull apart, I’ll keep my eyes open. Sometimes down here you can fine pretty clean stuff.

Thanks Rick ! There's some real nice aftermarket wheels out there that you can get & add a Ford horn button as you know, but if you have cruise you're SOL ! I thought of relocating the buttons but I don't want to go that route. Besides, I really like the 4 spoke
Crown Vic wheel that I pictured. I saw 1 or 2 on FleaBay but the sellers want WAY to much $ !
1 good thing is the Ford & Lincoln/Mercury horn buttons can be swapped.

What Lincoln logo(s) are you looking for ? I can keep an eye out as well. Got any pics/images ?

nothing in particular, like all my projects, I have a vision, but no design, and then I jump when something feels right. But I appreciate the offer. I’m just outside of Atlanta, so there are lot of very clean cars available in the scrap yards when I go. I just never thought of swapping the whole steering wheel.

Add an afterthought, I have two town cars, 88 and 87, and the Missing Linc is an 87, so it would be easy enough for me to check if it will fit.
