Uh...yes but no more help than anybody else needs, ping is very much a problem.

Thought I was helping to keep this thread on topic!

Some Old-Timers may remember water injection I think it was a Studebaker my dad had, that was, a very long time ago ?

I changed the Name of the thread for @Denisefwd93, she needs help and has a thread about it, pleas refer to that thread to help her out
Humidity is kind of like water injection. Back in the 80's, there were numerous water injection kits available, and once installed, they would reduce the octane sensitivity of an engine. Gasoline back then seemed to suck, and pinging/knock was quite common. I had installed an Edelbrock water injection unit on my 78 Trans Am for this reason. The kit had a controller that used both vacuum and rpm input to determine when and how much water to inject. And, if a 50/50 mix of water/methanol was used, it worked even better. That blue stuff you put in your windshield squirter bottle is about right for that use.

Control Freak?:icon_confused:, that's a first. I'm not even in control of myself 98.6% of the time. I was honestly trying to help. But, you know what they say about "good deeds" SMH,

PING stands for "Packet Internet Groper".

It is basically a set of data packets sent out across the internet or a local network, to see how long it takes to get a response back.

If you don't have time to do it right will you have time to do it over?
Humid air will reduce or eliminate spark knock, they used to sell(maybe still do) water injection systems to add to vehicles for that reason. A hose would run up to the air cleaner lid and a little nozzle would spray a water mist into the air intake.
