I'm pretty sure it's part of a early 80's fox body front end. Which again, the lines look clean but I've seen people do work like that before by basically just spackling on bondo and sanding it until it looks flush. Same with the tailgate. I'd love to put a magnet on it.

I'd drive it... into a wall.

That might make the front end look better.

A legend to the old man, a hero to the child...
First thing id do is install a proper first gen front end.

Then id paint it gloss black, and put some big fat radial T/As on back, drop the front an inch or two....

Its got potential

For that kind of money, the truck having potential doesn't really matter. You could build one yourself the exact way you wanted it for cheaper, and it wouldn't look like a botched abortion.

Without the front end it would be a nice truck.

He apparently thinks a lot of his 347 to put a 750 carb on it... has drag radials too. But yeah, lets just leave the 7.5.
That engine with those heads & that cam should run good with a 750. I had a 650 bg demon carb (flows about 730 cfm) on my little 302 & it loved it.

Cheaper? Its priced at $10,500. You aren't going to build that (ugly) truck for that price. The engine & trans alone are probably $7500 or more. A good custom paint job is very expensive, 10K or more. It may ugly as sin, but it would cost you alot more to build it.

He says it's a 347. If so, a well built one could handle a 750 easily. We run a 1000 cfm on our 408 and I think it could stand a little more. Granted, it is a purpose built race engine, but really not much more than any street rod might run. It doesn't run on pump gas though.

If he has enough engine to justify his carb (very wild for that small of CID) and actually uses it he is going to shred the toothpicks he has for an axle is what I was getting at.

Well yeah, but I thought the axle shredding was a given. LOL
