Seen a show on that royal purple.DSC chnl I think. They make the knarliest oil filter out there. poured the finest sand in the oil and ran it through the filter oil came out perfect.
After that show I want to try it out.

I've used Royal Purple in both of my motorcycles and can tell a difference in the shifting (because they have a wet clutch) but as far as engine performance, I couldn't tell a difference. I'm too cheap to put it in my ranger though.

I have always been happy with Valvoline 10W 30. Engines have always held up great. Now, transmissions on the other hand.......

It is all the same OIL! The only differences POSSIBLE would be any additives in the particular brand.. AND even then there are no SECRETS in oil additives! Synthetic oil will withstand heat our engines are incapable of transmitting.. They are no better in our engines than regular oil.
I USE whatever is on sale the day I drive into a quicky oil place.. Then I drive about 9,000 miles and have it changed again. My vehicles last as long as anyones.

lol^^^^ Big jims got it. If your oil has SAE, and API on it somewhere, then its all the same. some companies just use more additives. I personally like quaker state oil. its not Way expensive, but it isn't wal mart brand either.
