I am sure that this is the place to get the right info. Can you put larger ford truck spindles on the stock beams, mod's to run the larger Brakes? Maybe the old f-250 4/6 piston calipiers? Any tricks using stock hd parts. There was an article somewhere about a Ford sponsored team getting 15" travel out of a stock front end, I haven't been able to find it. Thanks

15-16 inches is possible out of the stock width fron end, wiht extend radius arms and shocks set p just right etc.

check out autofab.com

dave@ threat could hook you up wiht alot of bang for the buck too

you could mount the f350 cals, but it will take some one off fab work.and I would think make for some heavy unsprung weight.
IF you want brakes that big, I would look in to the after market. willwood etc.
if you went with something like one of daves kits you would get f150 brakes and that should be plenty to stop a ranger

look around on race-dezert.com you might find something, do alot of reading and seraching. lots of info.

How about an entire article? You don't have something set up right...
i will look into that article. Yes, coilovers and the inner fenders are still in the truck. At full bump the tires brush up against the inner fender. I can pull 2 more inches of up travel if i take them out, but I dont want to build a tube radiator support yet. Yes, its all set up correctly.

Also, if the wheels aren't limited before bind, you create a large amount of bump steer. When traveling at 60+mph on the dirt through whoops, bump steer is bad.
