Any reason I couldn't use a 2.9 m5od behind an explorer? Is there a strength differance? I would like to get a little deeper first gear.

Thanks
Jonathan

Strength difference should be negligible. I've heard using the wide-ratio M5OD on a 4.0L makes the engine seem like it winds out a bit as you shift thru 3rd, though I've never driven one personally.
