94 ranger , ext cab. Will window motors/regulators from a explorer work on ranger What years? Just trying to expand my search. Or am I better off bypassing JY and buying new stuff? Drivers window doesn't want to go up if you go all the way down. Also saw mention of motor from Fox body , what is that? Obviously I'm not much of a Ford guy.

Fox Bodies are refered to the 79-93. 94's start the SN95's.

The first 2 sentences says 1978 then ran for 16 years. Up to (1994) The mustang was the last on this platform and no real changes between the 94-95 model. Almost every thing underneath will bolt up and there are a lot more resources better than wiki out there. I have wrenched on these cars since the late '80s I don't know it all, but for a general answer, mine was fine. Anyway. on the sn95's named by Ford as FOX-4 So yes 94-95 are still Fox platform with minor changes as any one that works on these things will tell you. The op asked a simple question, I gave a simple answer that is accurate. I did'nt know that we had to give a full history here. SN95 is more of a reference to body style instead of chassis. The chassis had to be changed when the modular engines went in . Check out the firewall and you can see the subtle differences. And in the following years more wholesale changes went into effect. Muscle Mustangs and 5.0 would now give you 30 lashes a piece.:D

But I guess to get back on subject. No, fox body regulators will not work on a Ranger. You could always check an interchange list and this will hold true. Motors may, but I would'nt think so. Keep looking for a Ranger THEY ARE STILL OUT THERE. You just need a little patience. It will be worth it.
