ok so here's the deal. i have a 4x4 1998 extended cab xlt. i have bought a 3" BL and some Beltech 6400 shackles to put on there, as well as planning on crankin the tbars. i want to run 33's but im not sure if i should regear for that or not? i have 4.10 gears right now, the only thing im a little worried about is that i only have a 3.0L engine. what do yall think?:icon_confused:

This was covered not too long ago but. On my 99 with a 3.0 I ran 33s for a couple of years with no problem it was a little weak in 4 HI but was fine on the road even pulled my mud race truck with it. I am now on 36s with 4.88 and 4 hi is great so in my opinion 4.56s would be ok but I think it will take away your highway speed and gas mileage

4.88 is best for 33s and a 3.0L.

I would regear, although 4.10 is probably tolerable, although count on not being able to use 5th gear on anything but downgrades.
