What are you guys planning on using for batteries and a controller?

I've seena few that use T105's, I have used them on floor scrubbers, and they last pretty well, and I would have put them in my solar power system, but they were a little too pricy.

There was an S10 conversion in Homepower Magazine a few months back, it may be helpful to you. Oh, and there was a Ranger conversion several years back in the same magazine.

I'm interested in this project also. What electric motor are you planning on using? Be sure to take lots of pictures and document the build ( so it will be easier for me if I decide to try it). ;missingteeth;

Take a Ride with our EVRBV:

Sorry guys, forgot i started this thread. WE used a 9 inch motor
Got most of the parts here: http://www.evparts.com/

He machined a custom mounting plate to go from the manual tranny to the motor. We went clutchless. it still shifts pretty easy, the original motor was a 3.0, his parents own a machine shop so he made most of the parts we didnt buy. We cut the Battery box out of a 4X8 sheet of ply wood in the Waterjet.

If you got anymore questions just ask, i wasnt much into the electrical part, i did all of the ranger work. I believe he will sell the adapter plate for the motor to the tranny, i think he is going to do one up for the 4.0, 2.9 bellhousings as well.( iknow he bought another truck, just not sure what the plans are.)
