Erratic high idle help, please!

Try to leave the battery connected now and keep driving it for awhile and don't panic if you get a hiccup the first week. The computer does have a learning curve, it will compensate and make changes as it learns what you have done to the engine. I have seen this especially with the idle strategy. It's very frustrating waiting for the computer to make it's mind up.

I’ll try that. It hasn’t given me any problems at all today even with taking it through some pretty intense trails. Every start has been pretty solid. It revs up to like 2000 rpms, drops to 1100 and then once it’s got a little heat, it drops to 900. I have a weird wiring system for the starter because the previous owner thought it’d be a great idea to try and wire a push start in, so it will sometimes not want to start because the wires are all hodgepodged, but that’s a separate issue.
