There has been a lot of info released about the new Ranger.
Where? Because their own website isn't much more than a basic brochure. We know colors, cab & bed configurations, and engine size. That's about it. I'm thinking standard features, whats included in packages, HP, towing capacity... the list goes on.

100% but I'm also trying to stretch a tired 11 year old Mazda 3 with 241000 kms until the new ranger is out but still wondering if I should just cave and buy a used F150.
Patience is a virtue. I'd wait. Buy what fits your needs. If a smaller truck is better for that, I'd wait it out. Or wait for the F-150 diesel.

Kinda the same boat with a 16yo F-150. Except I will probably need to wait a few years and for a slightly broken in one.

F-150 diesel on the stand doesn't look all that great. I would for sure let them have a few years to work the kinks out/see if they give up on that one.

Given the F150 tow ratings, the new Ranger should be able to tow 10k LOL.

What were the last generation Rangers rated to tow? 5k? Somewhere in that neighborhood So I'd assume at least 6 or 7k minimum with the new generation?

There's no way I could afford or would want to pay the ridiculous price they will have on them, so I'll wait several years and hopefully by then they'll have stopped production on them again and won't have to worry about wanting/buying one LOL. Wouldn't mind test driving one when they come out though, but not being in the market for one I'll never get to do so.

Taco is 7k, Colorado is 7700 IIRC.

So yeah, I expect around 7k +/-

Kind of what I was thinking. Thanks. It will be interesting to see when they are finally released into the wild LOL.

I wouldn't get excited about the F150 diesel, which is out already. Towing and payload is less than the 3.5TT, only available in Lariat and higher trims, most expensive of all available engines, with added maintenance and expensive fuel you aren't going to make up the difference in mpg savings. There is no advantage to having the diesel.
