Ford Engine computers disable Fuel Pump and Fuel Injector pulses as part of an anti-theft system, also on some models the starter motor key activation is disabled.
Start motor and fuel pump are not hard to by-pass, but there is no way to "fake" fuel injector pulses, so.............as adsm08 said, no there is no way to get engine to run without computer assistance which only comes with using correct Key in ignition.
But you can start the engine, to hear it
You would need to jump PCM Relay in engine fuse box, powers up computer and spark system, same as what happens when you turn on the key
Pull off intake's large air tube so you can manually add fuel to intake
There is a smaller wire on the starter motor, when that terminal gets 12volts starter will crank the engine, so you need a jumper wire on that terminal that can be connected to 12volts then disconnected easily after engine starts
Open throttle manually and crank engine while spraying gasoline into the intake
If computer is on engine will fire and start up
continue spraying gas into intake and it will continue to run.
Don't use starting fluid, it is Ether and is great for starting gas or diesel engines, but not for continuous running, so use gas in a sprayer bottle.
You will hear any rod knocks or valve train noise
I would remove fan belt for this, accessories and fan just make noise and since you can't run engine this way very long there is no worry about water pump and overheating
Make sure there is oil in it
