So my son's 88 STX 4x4 Buick 3.8 Turbo swap has started.
He currently has the cab blocked up on wood 3" from the frame.
The truck had NO engine/trans/tcase/trans crossmember when he got it so we have no factory reference points/measurements we can go from, and we no longer have another Ranger for reference.
We placed a bare 3.8 Buick block and factory Buick mounts into the bay.
It looks like we have a future interference issue w/ the right bank cylinder head & Valve cover and the AC box on the firewall, especially if he just goes w/ stock body mount or 1.5" body lift like he wanted (with a 2" suspension lift.)
It will help if I had a factory correct reference measurement from the Block /Trans mounting face to a fixed point on the frame or the front axle centerline.
I have included pictures without the block being placed in any specific orientation/squared, etc.
