Newbie here, so if my question below has already (most likely) been answered elsewhere... just point me there. I will say in my defense that I looked here and on google and everything I saw stopped in 1998 or 2003.

Do they make locking hubs for my 2011 Ranger XLT 4x4 v6? What parts would I need? New half shafts? Why? I have not been able to find locking hubs. But, before I buy I will disconnect the front drive shaft to see what difference it would possibly make (0.5 mpg maybe? Read that here too). I did read that here... good post!

I'm moved your post to the correct forum... keeps things organized and better "searchable".

They do not make locking hubs fir your truck. You want hubs... you retrofit using order parts.

I personally never seen the need to do it.

Thanks! I saw the note at top AFTER posting! Sorry! And, yes, I did finally find the info on the locking hubs for my 2011.

It definitely would seem that the cost would far exceed the benefit! Don't think I could ever recover the cost at a 0.5 mpg increase.

Thanks a lot! Very helpful!

It's also just more things to break.
