I'm working on my turbo swap, and, I've since bit the bullet and bought an entire harness for the engine (wasn't cheap) BUT here is the catch, the plug size is the same, but the raised bars on the plug are slightly different and won't let the plug for the computer slide in. I'm assuming this means ford did this for a reason. the computer I have (which came with the engine) is (serial numbers):
Above: EEC-I-ISC3
with AF in the middle
and E5DF-12A650-F2A below
what's the snag here? I assume I need a repin? Is this harness for an auto and If so what Do i do to hack it for a manual build? or is this just the wrong dang computer?
Update where I'm at:
It's a 1986 harness, Im currently checking the pinout to make sure all the wires are in the correct places
