Can anyone tell me what the rear drive length will be in a 2006 FX4 level ll Ranger. I have a 5.0 out of a 99 Ford Explorer with a factory 4r70w transmission. I am taking out the factory AWD transfer case and putting in a 4406 out of a 2004 F150 so then I can take it in and out of four-wheel-drive and I have 4 low still. I read in one place that it needs to be rigid 48 1/8th inches long measured from the two u-Joint center center. Thanks.

When you have a custom driveline it's best to measure your specific vehicle. Too many variations. You can ask the place that is going to make the driveshaft how they want you to measure for it.
