thats kick ass, you ever take it to the desert or a desert like terrian? did you put coilovers on there? do you still have it??
it was never actually completed,though i did drive it around some.it just had 6'' lift springs for a ranger front with custom buckets,and some long bds shocks.
i was building it just before i ended up moving to the islands,and it was either bring that or the big ranger...i couldn't bring everything.
so i cut it up and scrapped it.
Did the rear wheels turn at all or just fixed to go straight?
I bet a setup like that could take jumps all day.
it was set up for rear steer.some of the parts that were bought for the rear steer on this are actually in the shorty explorer now for it's rear steer.
i would imagine it wasn't rear steer... there should be some kind of hardware showing, shouldn't there?
it's there,justall tucked up between the frame rails.you can just make out a tie rod end on the left side.
It looks like the FSB guys are doing it for the easy to find stock 4:10 gears.
that makes sense...d44 4.10s can be hard to find.ironically,i'm in the process of doing a gear swap on a d44 right now-the customer wants 3.73s,the stock ones i'm removing are 4.10s.which means i now have to find a different carrier.
So can the axles from the 50 be made to fit the 44 housing?
only if you also use the 50 outers,which are the same as 60 outers except for the knuckle.it takes a bit of fab,but i've done it a few times.
