Took the ranger out wheeling new years day. It was cold with the highs maybe hitting the upper 20's with a good wind. A welded rear diff and iced up paved roads made for a fun adventure getting to the trail involving a few good fish tails. The trail was very icy and required a lot of momentum to get up in certain spots. Overall we had a good time.

Everything always to seams to take longer. I am pretty happy with how the truck is working. On to little things to make it more enjoyable.

Did you get it plumbed, or just mounted? Have you decided on a size air tank(s) to run?

Haven't plumbed it yet. When I built the front bumper the two ends were built to be air tanks. I think I will have around 7 gallons of tank space between the two halves.

Went to Hollister Hills OHV area yesterday for the day. I kept it pretty calm because I was there by myself and was mostly just seeing what was there sense I haven't been in at least 12 years. Good day run place but don't think I could go very often till I would get bored with it.

I did find that when I flex up the truck hard the hood hits the York pulley. Going to have to redesign the bracket and try to get it a bit lower. Here are the spots it was rubbing.

I would say do a 1/2" BL, but the cage pretty much kills that option.

And 1/2" taller I am not sure I would clear the garage door at the house. I have a few ideas on how I think I can make it work.

Added front limit straps to keep the shocks from being the limits.

Then went to KOH to watch the madness. Did a little wheeling.

the truck needs some stiffer springs bad in the front. I can bottom out in the whoops at about 20 mph. Also the tires rub the inner fenderwells. I need to either trim the metal or limit the travel. Haven't decided which way to go.

Been doing a few things to the truck. The York mount I built previously allowed the pulley to make contact with the hood when flexed up. I built a new bracket lowering the pulley another quarter inch. Hope that is enough cause that is as low as I can go. It is so tight I had to modify the PS cap so I could get it off with compressor mounted. I also had to counter sink one of the bolts grind a bit on the bracket to get the PS open.

I also made a mount for my hi lift jack. A 60" jack is hard to make fit but was able to mount it across the bed under the back window. I did not want huge brackets that might be in the way if I ever need to take it off and haul other items. I ended up capturing the base plate with two cut off bolts through existing holes. The other end drops onto a bracket and then a bolt holds it. I plan on changing the bolt eventually to make for toolless removal.

You mwy want to entertain using an SOHC power steering pump. Not only do they have more pressure and flow, but you can mount the remote reservior almost anywhere, giving you more room for the york...

Do they mount to the same bracket on my existing 4.0? If what I have doesn't work I will look into that.
