Little update:

The car is in the shop. 1 bad coil, clogged cat and failed compression test.
Well you will get that with those rotary engines. I am not sure who thought an engine with only one moving part was a good idea.

Did you have to replace/rebuild the motor?

The cat was choking the motor. It runs better but it is not 100%. I think it has a misfire which means all new coils, plugs and wires. I am also going to clean the grounds just to be safe.

Actually you are all wrong. There are three moving parts. 2 rotors and the crank shaft.

Doesn't the driver move when he shifts gears or uses the brake or gas pedal? I'd hate to sit still while driving because I drive quite a bit.

Nice looking car...I remember when the RX series came out many years ago and I wanted one...but everyone said to wait until they worked out the bugs in the engine...lol

Eh, whatever. I never worked on one of them Wanker engines. I'm not even all that sure how they work. Doubt I could diag one if it landed in front of me.

They're extremely simple...
I understand the principles that they work on. I know that on paper they are simpler than a normal engine. I just don't have any experience on them.

I've heard they don't have a rev limit. I had a buddy that had an 89. Mostly stock, had it riced out with an aftermarket tach. Installed nos on it went for a ride with him, at about 7k rpm he said watch this, and hit the nos, the tach literally hit the bottom of the gauge and the needle bounced off the bottom. It was kind of funny...

I try to shift between 5-6k; however, I can on it all the way up to 9500 RPM before I have to shift.

UPDATE:
Motor is gone. So I traded my F4i for the motor plus install. It is freshly built. I am losing money on the deal; however, you have to do what you have to do to get shyt done.

Pffff. Don't make me laugh. If he is going to go to the trouble of a V8 swap he should do the S/C 5.4L GT500 engine.
