When everything seemed to be working on my 1988 2.3 some steam started coming out from the AC vents.

Also, there is a leaking of whatā€™s seems to be antifreeze on the engine bay from the passenger side:

Any idea of what I might be dealing with?
Thanks in advance

Thanks! Iā€™ll get a new one.
There always something failing with this old truck, I guess thatā€™s why I cant find any mechanic willing to work on it. The last one I asked literally told me: ā€œitā€™s gonna be hard for you to find someoneā€ šŸ˜…

The heater core will be one of the easiest youā€™ll ever change. Now days I wouldnā€™t let most mechanics check the air in my tires.
These 1st and 2nd generation trucks are some of the most simple to work on.

It seems to be a really easy task, you are right.
I think the same about mechanics, lucky me I love getting the work done by myself, especially on this truck.
Thanks again!

My credo
In theory, theory and practice are the same. In practice, they are different.

You must look within. The mechanic you seek is in your soul. He just needs to be brought to the surface and trained.

well....as far as working on that truck....its the best and easiest truck to work on.....and if it is an 88 extended cab model....its the best truck aver made ever in any universe ever. especially on full moons and keg party bon fires.

also....that heater core is about a 20 minute job if you stop for beer.
