put on my spare FPR that I know is good, and still the problem is there, it bogs down real bad when driving, has no power, but every once in a while, its normal, then right back to driving bad.

In Samsonite's case I'd say that a non connected HEGO for one cylinder bank or the other would create some "issues"

That plus the fact that a '96 is supposed to have a cat monitor I can safely say his computer is "annoyed" with him.

Hey if you want a dual HEGO Y-pipe....

naw, im just going to rewire it. But I have a major problem. there was a large exhaust leak, the EGR tube wasn't tightened into the manifold..... but its all going to get rewired, although I found an ex that I really like so now its between requiring and re-axle"ing" the ranger, or just putting my lift tires and other stuff in the ex....

alright, still looking for a parts truck. but in the meantime I found the main cause of the problem. The spark plug for #3 was gapped poorley and the ceramic was almost gone. Replaced the plug, and it runs great. Still have the surging idle, but I can live with that until it gets rewired.
