where did i have that posted? i know i typed it... where the hell is it?

yea like, go to walmart and spend $22 on 100 shells, it wont shoot those. the heavy dove and STS shells (brass bottoms) are the only 2 3/4" ones i've found to work so far (minus slugs)and i'll be trying a few other ones at the range next time i go.
That's weird :icon_confused: My 870 Super Mag will swallow anything that says 12 ga. on the back of it.

What kind of jam? Double feed?
it started out with Federals, the extractor wouldn't grab it and pull it out.

then with winchesters you had to really yank on the slide to get it to pull the shell out and eject.

now with the remingtons it started out acting like the federals, now its just pulling the extractor through the base of the shell. and we had to stick a knife in there to pull/pry it out.

i still need to call Remington, i've called 3 times, 3 different days at different times and keep getting the "you've reached us at an unusually busy time, please hold" blah blah and i sit on hold for easily 15 minutes..

If it's new enough and still under warranty, try and send it in to Remington to get fixed. If that doesn't work...

It could be a number of different things. A common remedy is cleaning the chamber thoroughly and polishing it with a fine steel wool wrapped bore brush, or deburring the chamber with a dremel. Another possibility is an over tightened barrel cap nut on the mag tube, it should be finger tight plus one click.

It seems to be a relatively common problem...

You posted it over on RF. Seems like you allready dissasembled it and cleaned it out, IIRC

It might be worth the time to swing by a gunsmith. Tell him whats going on with it, He'll give it a look over and at worst charge you $10 or so, for his time and opinion. The guy I go to doesnt charge for that though.

I think I would do that before I sent it back to remington. Could be an easy fix.

$500 with 4-20 round mags and one 5 round mag. Not too bad considering I see a lot of them going for over $600.

BlackBII,
Had to check out your dad's site, very nice work in a very interesting field. Have a friend who has had his Shelby for 34 years now.

How do you like it? I'm waiting for some mil-spec ammo to show up, these things will tear commercial brass in half... I hear these have a few common problems, mostly to do with the rollers in the bolt but mine was hardly ever fired and the guy who owned it owns a few dozen guns and takes very good care of them.
Here's mine.
