Pulled my transmission and put in a used one. I got it in there and all hooked up fine. Went into park and cycled through all the gears. Now fast-forward a couple weeks and she no longer goes in park or first unless I get under the truck and move the lever. Then yesterday I got a code for a faulty neutral safety switch, so I guess my question is can I stretch cable trigger that code or would it for sure be the neutral safety switch. I only ask because prior to doing the swap I've previously had to tighten them Torx bolts up to get her to drop into first! Probably a stupid question especially after getting a code saying it's a neutral safety switch but would rather know for sure rather than throw more money into it! Any responses are greatly appreciated!
