I am checking to confirm that my timing is solid (so I can rule it out as a source of my truck's poor running). I do not have access to the sockets that I used while assembling the engine. What size socket do I need to rotate the crank on my 97 2.3?

Also, I considered just using the cam pulley, but it felt like I may have just been tightening/loosening the bolt; the belt did not rotate. Is that an option or am I being overly cautious?

For future searchers, the crank bolt on a 97 2.3 is 22mm

Don't turn it by the cam bolt as sometimes the bolt will loosen(shouldn't turn it backwards any wheres)or the belt can jump time.
