2.9 ranger runs terrible

No, it does not run the with the relays swapped. I’ve done the fuel pressure test while the truck was running and it tested to be great. I will check the leak test soon.

I will look at the wires near the battery and check their connection.

I’ve been tracing wires and found some under the distributor. They are yellow and red. Looks like they are connected to a connector going to the intake. so I guess I have a gas line leaking somewhere I’ll have to check that. I assume gas all over my connector would cause a bad connection and cause a problem.

Don't worry about the ECT code. You will get that one when you pull the codes and the engine is cold. Of course it's cold, it will not run.

Thats a good point i didnt even think about.

i got it to operating temps and the code still showed up.

Just making sure you know there are "right now" active codes and then there are memory codes.
