is it okay to put a 33x12.5x15 tire onto a 15x7 wheel? This will be mostly street driven so i wont be airing down much.

thoughts and opinions?

i wouldnt. upgrade to an 8" wheel. it would be too hard to get them to wear evenly on a 7

Yeah that's too narrow for it to wear properly (15x8 minimum).

If it was offroad-only, then the wear wouldn't matter as much.

You could get a 33x10.5x15 if you are set bent on using 15x7s.

I ran 32x11.50's on stock aluminum wheels with no issues. US2BTech used to run 35's on stock wheels.

it is fine. dont listen to the naysayers.

the only thing i have noticed so far is that you do not use the tires whole contact patch when on the street.

this in my opinion is fine...

- you have the contact patch of 10.5 on the pavement (fuel mileage) as this is not a pavement race truck.
-whether you wear out the center of a 12.5 or a complete 10.5 is your choice. i like the look of the 12.5
-once and if you air down in the bush you have the full contact patch of a 12.5 tire.
-and because you are stuffing 12.5 on 7in wide wheel.... its like a poor mans bead lock, no more blowing beads even once youve aired down.

im happy and wouldnt go any other way :)
