The ground pressure on mine is only 2.5psi. By comparison a standard D3 has 6.5psi and a low-ground pressure D3 has 4.3psi. It doesn't get stuck, but you might if you jump off in the wrong place and go up to your kneecaps. I dug it down to the undercarriage when my Bobcat got stuck while I was at the lower edge of a field cutting brush. Pushing the Bobcat out I had the tracks completely buried in thick, stinky black swamp yick. It just drove right out of it once it wasn't pushing on the loader had sunk up against. After that, I just carelessly drive it anywhere.

A couple years ago they buried a very good sized dozer across the road from our shop over the tracks. They had to bring in a huge end loader to dig it out after the ground dried out.

They are hard to get stuck, but apparently every once in awhile a determined idiot can get it done.

I know a guy that helped make lakes in Colorado after WWII, he regularly had running water over the platform of his D8 pushing logs around in rivers...

Gotta love the bubble side trucks. My 72 is in worse shape but the paint job leads you to think it's actually kind of a nice POS.

I've got the urge to swap an 8 lug D44 under it and a divorced transfer case.

Keep up the build and give this 39 year old truck the love and abuse it diserves.

Oh yea, this truck has gotten tons of "love". I practically grew up in this truck, I remember being 4 years old and riding with my dad plowing out the back roads because PennDot doesn't plow us out usually. And even though it doesn't look perfect, it's come a long way. I actually had to talk my dad into keeping the truck, I made a deal with him that I would do all the work on it to make it road worthy; which included a complete exhaust, complete brake system, re-did alot of rotten wiring, alot of rad support patching, new fuel pump and rebuilt carb, new rims/"new" tires, and for kicks, a eclipse head unit and 4 walmart quality speakers...not that you can hear it over the exhaust. I'll eventually sand it all down and paint it rattle can black, just so it's one solid color, but for now, it'll do lol. And I'll be taking this baby mudding with some friends pretty soon, I have a friend with a 81 Chevy with a rebuilt 350, and he's convinced he'll be pulling me out, and I beg to differ...he's got street radials and busted auto hubs, I think I'll be fine

Another Update: Trucks inspected :) of course the next day my dad drove it and didn't close the hood all the way....so it flew up and bent up the right hood hinge, so he's off to the junkyard today to get another lol.
