Guy claims it's a low mileage engine, been in its original truck and a BII. Both got wrecked. May get it this evening if I can borrow my neighbor's truck.
Anything other than EGR that I need to address on this swap over?
It's got the exhaust manifolds and Y/H pipe still installed.
I figure on blocking off egr, running my 90 PCM and engine harness, keep the larger 87 throttle body.
Don't know if it came out of an Auto or Manual so might I have to swap over the crank pulley / harmonic balancer? Reason I ask is, I had no luck removing the one on the seized engine. Any tricks to that?
Once I pull the seized engine I have to drop the oil pan and loosen up the crank so I can get the torque converter off. I'll also hang onto its heads. Sure wish I had the cash to do an MO5D swap while I'm at it. Not out of the question tho.
I haven't done an engine replacement since 1977. Working solo, to boot.
I plan a redneck compression check (turn the crank with finger over each spark plug hole, fffft). Guy was adamant that it was a smooth running motor, which is why he pulled it and hung onto it. We shall see how each spark plug looks too.

I'll fix the photos. POS been sittin' back there a whole year already. I gotta get on the ball.
