I need to build another carrier for the G-Unit.

I see that you did a double swing. What did you use to hold them closed?

I ordered some latch’s and spring pins. They haven’t came in yet. Not 100% sure on how I’m gonna mount them yet. But after I get them it shouldn’t be too hard.
I’m pretty excited, my old tire carrier on my old b2 didn’t like holding a 35. lol

I used a Destaco on mine... works good.

I just couldn't see what you had to keep them closed...

Yeah just a bolt right now but I’m waiting for my destaco style latches. When I get them mounted up.

Well my super duty hydro boost showed up. I had to redrill the adapter plate, and I need to shorten the petal rod, it’s to long. I’m going to redo or reinforce the adapter plate. I messed up and I’m not gonna lie I butchered it. So I’ll redo it lol but the lines bolted right up. 2000 super duty other than the push rod and the adapter it seems to work perfectly fine!

More fun stuff showed up today! D35 513 gears, Detroit locker. I picked up some brand new skyjacker lift brackets. Some 4 inch lift coils. This should level me out. This thing was maybe slightly higher in the rear before the diesel. There’s 2 inches different now. I already have explorer coils with lift pucks. So I need to do a real lift to get things right.

also shorted the the hydro boost rod. Need to get some better bolts and I have the mounting plate made. Brakes seam to work good in the shop! We’ll see when I take it for a run!

Well I hauled it in to get the exhaust built. I just decided I want it done. I want to be able to drive it. So tomorrow hopefully I’ll go pick it up! Pretty excited.

We’ll have a few more things to do! But I drove it home today from the exhaust shop. Tried to put diesel in it and well even for the small pump the nozzle was to big… lol so I need to in large that. Haha going to flush the oils in the transmission, t case and crawl box. But it drove good. It needs gears…. First through 3 are ok, but unless your on perfect flat ground 4-5th are pretty rough. Need to get my boost gauge and pyro gages hooked up so I know what there doing. Other than that I think it’s a win!

Well took the wife into town in it. Drove good! Other than top end power isn’t there. lol I can use 1-4th pretty good. 5th it doesn’t have enough power even on flat ground. I think the 513 gears will help a lot. I didn’t build this thing to go fast tho. Did 62 in 4th no problem. I’ll start picking things off the list! It’s running and driving now!

Well took the family out for a drive. Two car seats in the back and the wife is due any day for our 3rd kid. But the sun was out and it felt good to take a drive up to the woods.

I love my ranger but this is why I needed something bigger. Took my two boys to town today to do a few errands. B2 for the win!

Well been mostly just been playing with things. Fuel tank started leaking and I drove it around for a week and it was only down to 1/2 a tank. I thought the gauge wasn’t reading right. It was haha cleaned out my other tank, got the tanks swapped.

Decided I really need to get my EGT and boost gauge installed. Had some leaks around the turbo, so I pulled the exhaust/intake manifold old drilled the exhaust manifold for the pyro sensor and tapped the intake for boost sensor. This was off my old engine, which was a non egr engine. Got everything swapped and sensors, installed. Installed the gauges on the dash, drove it around well I’m not sure if it’s just low on power or if it is what it is. lol I could only get 8 psi for boost and since I deleted ALDA the pump will go full fuel. Probably should have got the EGT gauge installed sooner. My EGTs really climb because of the ALDA removal.
Played with pump timing, I believe it helped, I feel like it pulls better and it did make my boost get closer to 10 psi. EGTs went down some also advancing the pump did help.

also took it for a longer drive. Was a beautiful day to get out.
