I'm helping a friend fix up his '88 Interceptor 351. We just got an exhaust on it, got all stoked about the car and shortly after I got a text from him. I go over and sure enough something else has gone wrong on the PI. I'm just tying to get some info on how to replace the core if anyone has any. I'll have to check at work to see what we have in the way of old service manuals so any advice is good. It looks like we can do it with the dash in but I'm not 100% sure.

Thanks,

-Mike

Mike I was poking around on the interwebs and stumbled on this forum a while ago. It's specifically for CV/Marquis owners. I would check there if no one here knows...but if it is like every other car you'll prob have to pull the dashboard.

My step dad used to joke that when they build a car they start by hanging the heater core on a string and go from there lol .

Hope this helps.

the whole plenum has to come out from under the dash.the dash can be left in,but the bottom right side needs to be loosened enough to pull it back a couple of inches.still,it's an ugly job.
