hey guys, got the housing sitting in my room now:yahoo:

just wondering if ya'll know where i can get a complete rebuild kit(73 EB d44) as i just have the bare housing, and i've got the works in for getting a chevy d44, gonna steel the knuckles out and slap on the eb d44. Just gonna replace all the brake parts with new stuff anyways, just need the cores. SO i really need to know what ya'll recommend on where to get the parts so i don't gotta scrounge up part by part, and i figure buying the kit will be cheaper than buying it peice by peice. Gonna be geang it down to 5.13 with either an eaton or detroit locker and maybe ya know someone who lives by idaho falls who can help me set the gears up?:icon_thumby: that'd be fawking amazing!

I've got a brand new (never taken out of box) Detroit soft locker for the 44. For everything else www.completeoffroad.com has anything you need and no one can touch their prices.

I'm not familiar with the soft locker. Does it replace the entire carrier and work for 5.13 gears?

Yes it replaces the entire carrier. I believe you can run the thick gears in it and be alright.
