l would like to see some pics of how guys have mounted there sliders to the frame. There are lots of photos showing the two easy mounts (near the middle of the truck) but l would like to see photos of:

1) The drivers side near the gas tank where it is impossible to get a bolt and wrench

2) Mounts up front near e-brake bracket and other stuff...

Also, l have read the pros and cons about welding directly to the frame, but also let me know how you mounted them and if you would do it differently.

Any photos you have would be great. the closer the better. Thanks

I just finished these on a buddy's Supercab last week (1st pic).

Normally I don't like to weld on the frame, but this was only in one little spot (and I made a point not to bring the weld bead completely to the edge, or onto the corner of the frame). Just make sure the taillight wiring harness is pushed off or up to the side before welding there (you'll just be able to see where it is between the tank and frame). Fuel lines were already up higher and away from that area.

Didn't think to take any close-ups near the p-brake bracket though, it never presented an issue (the slider is just below it).

2nd pic is on my '94 reg cab (p-side, although I just simply copied the design over from the d-side one. The rear mount design was to clear the p-brake cable back by the leaf spring).

Mines bolted there, its not hard to get bolts and nuts in there, just gotta get creative and make a wrench.

The traction bars are gone now and the suspension is getting a major upgrade. She'll be riding on a D-44/ARB/high steer with coilovers in front, and 9" with 35 spline alloy shafts, a Detroit and discs. Also 37" Pitbull Rockers on bead locks. Going to be fun, fun, fun!
