hey guys how do you remove the pilot bearing out of a manual tranny

go to an advance auto, or auto zone, or any good parts store that rents specialty tools, and ask for a pilot bearing puller. its basically like a reverse smaller jaw gear puller. you can try the dowl with grease in the hole method, but i don't know anybody that has ever gotten that to work.
