I've heard of using Chevy rotating assembly in a Mopar 440, but not in a Ford 2.3. For this engine, I've only known of Racer Walsh and Esslinger for performance parts.

I think you guys missed the important info a page back.

Im using a tall deck Ford block that is 9" tall instead of only 8.3" This motor has a custom stroker crank made with a 3.480 stroke vs a stock 2.3 stroke of 3.120 and uses Chevy 2.100 rod journal sizes instead of Ford 2.0468 size. This allows the use of a standard SBC rod. Not something you can pull off when using a regular 2.3 block.

Rods showed up today.

I worked on the other wheel tub today and should be finished welding it up tomorrow.

And I scored again...
Saturday while my buddy and I where stripping the rest of the white truck I was telling him how I need to find a set of drop beams so I can go 1" lower than I was but without having to use cut coils or the stiffer DJM 2" drop coils I have. Plus then I could upgrade the front brakes to the 95-97 dual piston setup.
Well a few hours later while having dinner a set of 3" Dream Beams popped up for sale on a Ranger FB page. I messaged the seller with my offer and asking of the location. Turns out they were only 3miles from my house! What are the chances??
So then I just needed to find the upgraded brake parts.Well turns out it was as easy as seding a message to another buddy next town north of me and he has everything I need. Score.

Bobby, I live just south of Monroe in Temperance and I work at the Ford plant in Wayne.

The mini tubs are finished.Im no Chip Foose but Im real happy with them. After they were welded in I spread some seal sealer over all joints and through a couple coats of spray on bed liner till the bed is repainted then I will roll on the good stuff.

Going up to Diamond next week to drop off order sheet and get the pistons made, sold my Pimp and will be ordering the new PimpXS and the bed is going off to get side fix this weekend. And the color has been chosen!

Sent the bed off to Dennis this weekend to have the rear corner of the bed replaced and some nip and tuck work. Got new front fenders and the vast majority of the paint supplies. The new color is going to look amazing! Glad I decided to not go with white again now.

Well here it is! It has finally made it into my shop. Couldnt wait to throw some fenders on it to see what it looks like as a truck again.

Very excited to start all the body mods to the cab next and get rolling chassis ready for ladder bars and 10pt cage.

Got an update from Tim O. on my head and things are looking good so far.

This is the flow numbers showing the base line and current mods before the intake runners being worked on. This shows gains from valve job, chamber work and short turns reshaped.

As you can see we are already in the 245cfm @ .600 with much work left to do.

Here is the beginning of the reshaped intake runners..testing to follow.

More head progress.

The intake runners are being reshaped to as symmetrical as possible and here is the start of the intake flange
