Should we use our newly purchased Bronco 2 to go back in the rough country to find the nice nudist campsites?

My credo
Crossed threads are tight threads.
BII is old, slow, and top heavy. Is yours the 2.9L?

As much as it is a cool rig, and great for camping/off road, I dont think it is ideal for road trips and your intended purpose

Its more suited for say an off road adventure, or "overlanding" where there are tow straps and tools involved, and travel is in groups. Something where the vehicle is part of the destination as well as the journey.

Sounds like you want to just find the place, then park it and strip lol.

I guess my two questions would be are you planning on car camping/sleeping in it?
Also what are your other vehicle options?
It may or not be your best choice depending on your other options.

I sold a B2 to a kid who read that famous road trip book and went on one. He was doing great until a front tire blowout caused it to roll over a few times. Destroyed.Totaled. The kid was fine lol. Dang bulletproof youth.

I should have made him buy new tires. It was a rust and dent free body when I sold it to him, I was planning on buying it back upon his return. :(

A BII will run 70-75 no problem. Assuming its in good condition id have no issue clicking off miles in one.

Yea it can do it, but sure wouldn't be as comfortable as something that actually steers, and doesn't lose half its power when the ac is on...and maybe a little more user friendly 4wd.

I used to drive my ranger across states
...now its a chore driving it across town lol

I think it all depends on how much mosquito repellant you can pack in the BII.
He's just looking for the 'bare' essentials...

My 2.9 B2 would very comfortably cruise at that speed with the AC on.

Something may of been wrong with yours. Ive never driven a 2.9L anything that wouldnt cruise faster then you really wanted to drive it.

Considering you're nudist, recommend installing some nice cushy SeatCovers (SheepSkin or such)
sure don't want to "mess up" those B2 Seats, like Mama said "just in case you have an accident".
;)

yea, you are not going to catch me sitting on these seats bottomless. drive topless all of the time but never bare bottom.
FYI, all nudists carry a towel for when they sit.

Have seriously considered being a nudist,
but have concluded I can't afford the PostTraumaticPhsychTherapy needed by witnesses!
