Well boys I think I have reached the limit with my rig. I think all my dreams/hopes are no match for my lack of skills and budget for anything.

I have had this truck a few years and I love it but it just has got to the point where I do not know what to do with it anymore it needs more fixing/changing then I can afford and know how/are able to do.

The 2.8L is leaking oil, and I'm sure has a cracked head or a gasket leaking coolant into the oil too plus the carb is ****ed more then it has ever been before and stalls and floods and I think its washing gas into the crankcase.

Starter bolt keeps backing out from the front and it loses its ground so it wont start.

Tranny has lost OD and now is grinding in 2-3-4 sounding like I tossed marbles in the thing.

Electrical gremlins have struck too. It won't even start the thing shorts out and dims the lights like its got a dead batt even when a fresh one is in it.

I had dreams of swapping in a new engine and trans ans fixing the rest up too but with the things that have come up in my life there is no money for it when I need to fix the other cars I have plus I am not that great of a mechanic and just really dont think I can do it all.

So thus I think it's time that another TRS member should take this and do what I could not so it won't sit rotting and dieing in my yard.

With a sales pitch like that it shouldn't take long to move it. :D
I hope so, someone should have a great time with it rather then it being scrapped:icon_thumby:

My credo
the grey-t escape

sounds like a good candidate for my ranger engine/trans that i recently bent a left side ttb arm on.
sounds like the start of a good project for someone!

I'd take it off your hands and treat it right.

If I had the $$ and room.

It even has the coveted rear opening glass.:icon_thumby:
If only it had the even more coveted handle to open it with out sticking a screwdriver or leatherman in the hole:icon_thumby:

If I had the money and time to get all my parts together I'd buy it. I'm looking to sell my car, its a project too. Having trouble getting any bites on a 79 Triumph TR7 though.
