A little follow up. I officially rescind my request for knowledge regarding all this heating stuff. I’ve realized ignorance is bliss once again! Why would anyone want to live where not only do you have to learn this stuff, you have to master it!!! I’ll go back to my ignorant state, a tiny shot of ether in the diesel once or twice a decade, and making sure the 30-sunscreen in the glove box is full with every oil change....

& I had it below the picture “all y’all.” Although I’ve been here 40 years, I’m still not sure I’m supposed to say such things. Y’all know the “War of Northern Agression” is only over in the North...

All y'all should know that y'all can benefit from all y'all's experiences, weather y'all know it or not. It stands to reason that all y'all's knowledge about the what can and cannot be accomplished
is based on y'all's willing to share with all y'all's.

In theory, theory and practice are the same. In practice, they are different.

I was born in South Carolina and spent my first 5-6 years in the South. So even though my parents are Yanks, I think I may get a pass.

I have noticed any time I spend a significant amount of time in the South, I start to pick up the drawl. I guess you can take the kid out of the South but you can’t take the South out of the kid...

I used to mount a light under the hood in a old-school ceramic fixture & plug it in at night. that wont work with todays L.E.D. bulbs. Id use about a 75 watt. Hood wouldnt frost so it was putting off a little heat.

My first “real” job out of college was a stint in Africa with Colgate-Palmolive and the Brits. After 6 months I almost lost the Jersey slang and was speaking the Queen’s English!

I’ve noticed that if I spend more then a couple of weeks in a place for work I will start picking up some of the local mannerisms.

Also, I changed the timing chain tensioners in the new 2003 ranger(250,000mi). Was way easier then I anticipated.
Everything I read said you need to take the intake and thermostat housing off to get at the front one. All I did was loosen the intake up to give me some clearance and pop one of the sensors on the thermostat off to get it out.

I have to do the ones on the 2011 (70,000mi) soon too, hopefully they will be just as easy.

I got my redhead to agree to push the brake pedal when I bleed the brakes after the parts come in and I get it all together. I was shocked since she pretty much hates my blue-jean side and my red-neck toys.

& whatever happens tonight, if they win or lose by one vote, all my fault.
