Door Adjar Switch

Does the door adjar signal result from an open circuit or closed circuit. Asking cause it is rusted and not easy to replace. I could just tie the wires together and call it good.

I believe when door ajar switches moved into the latch assembly... the switch is normally open with the door closed. Provides a switched ground when the door opens.

At least it works that way on my 06.
