I want a good battery, I trashed the other one, it was no good, this one I found in the barn, hope dad did not need it =P, but I am gonna fully charge it and use it correctly >.>

thats my point.... charge it on 10 AMP for about 2 hours, should put it at half charge, and then throw a gallon of gas in her, start her up, let her charge the battery.

I am standing on getting a free Bronco II frame as a replacement, anything I should be told about the conversion before I blindly go forth with it? (p.s. still looking at getting images, but want to be ready just in case =P, its a $100 trip there and back with the F150 + maybe renting a U-haul trailer at about $20 or $40 or so).

when you go to put the ranger cab on the b2 youll have to make brackets that bolt to the cab to the frame aand shorten the bed

Does anyone sell the brackets? Or have some for sale? Could I keep the bed long by chance?

(very short budget, lets say about $20 a month as in short, thats if I am lucky, well, this is until I get a job, then it will be moreso $200 a month firm).

How much shorter does the bed need to be?
How do I shorten it?
Anyone in northern PA be able to help?

Images of today's work, did some rust removal and primed it up when done:

Removed the driver's side mirror, and cleaned up around the covered areas, and found that the stupid fiberglass or bondo stuff is on the door.

Top Mount:

After I cleaned it up a little, I put some primer on it to protect it for now, will put paint on it a little later.

Came across a bad rust spot under the bottom mount, its bad enough that the entire door needs replaced =P

Got more images for the passenger door:

If you look, NO RED PRIMER! The red primer is on the hood and the driver's side door.

Cleaned it up:

Why is my door handle doing this?

My mirror broke (told ya it would adsm08 =p, the metal was so rusty it would not pivot, and it broke off):

Put on some primer:

Installed:

Got an image of the other side while installed:

Did some bumper work removing a lot of rust:

Primed the bumper:

Did some rear bed work too:

Had some bad spots, this WAS rust, these formed when cleaning it up:

Here is the truck when I was done:

Here is the bed thingy that confuses me as to what the damn material is:

As for body mounts, I've seen people use 90 degree angle iron, .25in thick stuff.

As far as putting the ranger body on a BII frame, you will have to shorten your bed to a 6ft one instead of the 7ft bed it is plus are the holes there in the broncho frame for the be clips so that you can bolt the bed on, change your ranger gas tank over to it, etc... Plus determine is the axles and other things on the BII frame are anybetter then what you have on your ranger now or not to see if you want to swap them over too.

What year is the BII frame? I'm told in 89 Ford made a few changes to the frame. The BII was dicontinued in 90 IIRC.

As for the last picture, looks like somebody did a nasty bondo job to the bed. I'm going to be putting the same exact doors on my ranger soon too, cant wait to have the tri-angle window. I hate how the rust forms around where the bolt holes for the mirror are.

I've got some much body work to do on my truck too, but I'm more focused on my SAS then anything, another 1-2 months of saving, should have more then enough to buy the longe arms I want.
