Don't vote Democrat.
5w30 is a non-issue. If they'd used 20w50, that's a different story.

Drive it. You'll be fine. Might even find it's a bit quieter.

I live in a complex where tenants aren't supposed to work on their vehicles
I hate places like that.

"So let me get this straight, I have to pay you to live here, I get nothing to show for my money when I'm done, no house, no equity, I own nothing for all that I've spent, AND I'm not allowed to do basic stuff on my vehicles to save a few bucks here and there? Yuck!"

Oh, I understand WHY they do it. It's just a raw deal for the tenant IMO.

If you can't go through it or around it, then go over it.
I just bought a house. Still can't work on my rides in my driveway....... Village ordinance...... I have to work on them in my Garage.

That is completely different though. You are still allowed to work on them at your residence.

I'd rather be IN the garage anyway. Then again, my driveway is gravel and mud right now. The garage at least has a cement floor.

X2 on the gravel/mud driveway. I at least have a grassy backyard to work in.

So for all you know he put bulk oil in it and an off-brand filter.
Most dealerships use bulk oil, the one I work at included. Our oil contract is through Esso.

I know, the shop we use for oil changes at work uses bulk because it's cheaper.

I used to live in an apartment complex where we couldn't really work on our vehicles. My room mate came home one day and had no clutch in his 1997 Nissan Hardbody 4wd, it was locked solid, rev-matched it to get home and just didn't stop anywhere. We changed the clutch in one parking spot, so nobody ever said a word to us. My car was also parked beside us, blocking view.

it's all just a matter of cleanliness, too. if all you pig Lall and left without clean, well hey now, the reason for which you refuse to work on your vehicle ..... here , we are allowed to work on,, but very clean spot will be left hanging this, use fabric and stain removal if possible to clean the working space..

every garage use this thing

It's pretty quiet now (only has 46K on it) except for that first start of the day - the ROOOAAAR of the clutch fan!!

I buy 5w-30 and a filter and take them to a garage to have them put in. I'm not planning to hurt my back more on frozen ground so I can save the cost of labor for an oil change.

I've heard 5w-20 can kill an engine if it's not high-grade oil.

My credo
"220, 221, whatever it takes."
This:
3.0s ran on 5-30 for years before Ford said it was ok to run 5-20 in them. You will be just fine.
On the other hand, the dealer put 5w-20 in my Sport Trac even though the 4.0 SOHC still specs 5w-30. I change my own but in this case they gave me my first four oil changes for free. I bought four quarts of 5w-30 the next day and changed it, figuring that at least the filter was free. I never bothered getting the other three free oil changes.

Now that's a new one. You heard WRONG. Just when you think you've heard every ridiculous oil myth in the book....
