Well I'm still looking for a computer and a VAM air meter out of a 87-88 turbo coupe. If any one finds one let me know. The VAM is hard to find. I went to the junk yard to look and ended up buying extra parts i picked up a intake and a valve cover. I blasted the intake but i still need to do the valve cover. I'm going to paint it the same as mine and sell it. I'm also going to paint the intake to match i think it would look pretty cool black. (Unless someone wants it like it is) I will probably paint them tomorrow and post it in the parts for sale forum. So if you want it not painted tell me. I would keep them but i really dont need them. I still might switch my upper with the new one because it has the 2.3 EFI stamped on it.

Lookin great so far! When I did the 2.3T swap in my old 87 supercab, I used a stock M5OD and just measured from the trans to the flange on the rear end. I added about 2 inches to make up for the yoke going into the trans. It was a long time ago, but I thnk it was 61 or 62 inches. Went to the j/y and found one that bolted right up after changing the front yoke. Of course the d/s crossmember had to be removed.

Well I think i might change my intake to this one. I painted the new intake to match my valve cover. What do you guys think? Should i stay with the smooth aluminum color that's on the engine or should i go with the new black one? I like them both.

Paint one thing and it looks cool. Paint MOST of it and it looks gay, so I say PAINT IT ALL!

Yes, I mean the throttle body by that.

It's looking DAMN good too!

Well the new intake is to low to work with my valve cover so it is going up for sale. I was just wondering how much do you think it would sell for.

I put two bucket seats in the truck today. They came out of a 99 explorer. I just need to mount the console now.
I'm going to start wiring tomorrow. I should have my hands full. :icon_confused: Maybe it wont be too bad.

You can get the VAM and LA3, LA2, or whatever computer you want from autozone or advance, etc.

I think they're both about $100, but if you can't find them elsewhere, they are available.

Well I started the truck today! It ran pretty good. I still need to hook up all of my vacuum lines. I never thought we would get it wired. Here are a couple of pics of it being wired! It was a jungle...lol

What should i do for my intake? I was thinking about using a cone filter right on the end of the VAM.

It looks a little better now that i have all of the extra wires removed I will post some more pics once i get it all cleaned up.
